The work never ends. A trail left alone is a trail that disappears. We provide land managers and owners with a dedicated workforce skilled in the "TLC" trails require.
Water is the greatest threat to any trail system. Without proper management, rain turns singletrack into gullies. Our approach is rooted in Modern Hydrology:
Building "new" doesn't just mean adding mileage; it means building smarter. When we design a new trail, we follow the gold standard of sustainable trail architecture.

At Berks Trail Works, we believe that a trail is only as good as its foundation. While Berks County offers some of the most unique terrain on the East Coast, the increasing demand for outdoor recreation requires a professional, science-based approach to land stewardship.
Our primary mission is to ensure the longevity of our trail systems through aggressive maintenance, proactive erosion prevention, and the development of new, sustainable trails that harmonize with the natural environment.

Sustainable trails are built by the community, for the community. Whether it’s a "Dig Day" or a specialized erosion workshop, your involvement helps us keep Berks County a premier destination for sustainable outdoor recreation.

Why Join Berks Trail Works? Your membership will enable you early access to trail conditions, maintenance and build opportunities, trail building and maintenance training and to vote on important decisions and drive the direction of the organization. This is a member driven organization that will be run by the members and for the members to the betterment of the entire community. Your membership dues will go towards helping maintain the organization from an administration stand point and assist with various initiatives BTW plans to pursue.

Your donations will be going directly to the trails.
The money donated will be going towards the purchase of equipment and fuel to maintain the trails you love to ride.
Help keep the thorns trimmed, overgrowth at bay, low branches clipped, and the sight lines open.
